Kawakawa shortbread

 

Ingredients

250gm butter softened

1 cups of icing sugar

1 cup cornflour

2 cups plain flour

1 cup dried Kawakawa leaves

 

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Stir cornflour and flour together
  3. Mix sifted ingredients into creamed mixture
  4. Add Kawakawa
  5. Knead well
  6. On lightly floured space roll out to 0.5cm thickness
  7. Shape or cut to size 
  8. Place on a greased oven tray, prick with a fork
  9. Bake at 150oC for about 30 minutes
